The ’57 uses a programmed centre-focused winding profile based on the behaviour of early production machinery, building the coil more heavily through the centre before spreading outward.
Its lower wind and mild offset between the two coils help produce the open top end, quick response and clear note separation that define the ’57.
Programming the winding profiles allows the intended coil structure to be repeated accurately from set to set.

Olemy PAFs use standard full-size humbucker dimensions and fit most guitars designed for conventional humbuckers.
Because they use vintage-style long-leg baseplates, please contact us before ordering for guitars with unusually shallow pickup routes or non-standard mounting systems.
Olemy PAFs are supplied unpotted, following traditional PAF construction. This retains their open response and sensitivity.
Very high gain, extreme stage volume or standing close to the amplifier can increase the chance of microphonic feedback.
