The firmer Alnico V response gives both positions greater punch and control, while the coil offset keeps the sound open and articulate.
The ’60 uses programmed Leesona-style winding profiles across both coils, with the controlled offset that also forms the basis of the ’58.
The offset introduces additional openness and harmonic detail, while the Alnico V magnet gives the pickup a faster attack and a tighter low end.
The result is a more immediate and assertive PAF voice, with greater punch and control while retaining clarity between the strings.
Programming the winding profiles allows the intended coil structure to be repeated accurately from set to set.
