The ’60 PAF

What the ’60 sounds like

Fast pick attack, assertive highs and a tight, punchy low end, with the focused response and added authority of Alnico V.

Neck

Clear and firm, with tight low strings, focused mids and enough definition to keep chords from becoming blurred.

Bridge

Immediate and punchy, with a strong pick attack, assertive upper mids and a clear top end that cuts through without sounding thin.

Across the set

The firmer Alnico V response gives both positions greater punch and control, while the coil offset keeps the sound open and articulate.

Construction and specifications

How the ’60 gets its voice

Programmed winding profiles

The ’60 uses programmed Leesona-style winding profiles across both coils, with the controlled offset that also forms the basis of the ’58.

The offset introduces additional openness and harmonic detail, while the Alnico V magnet gives the pickup a faster attack and a tighter low end.

The result is a more immediate and assertive PAF voice, with greater punch and control while retaining clarity between the strings.

Programming the winding profiles allows the intended coil structure to be repeated accurately from set to set.

Frequently asked questions

Will these fit my guitar?

Olemy PAFs use standard full-size humbucker dimensions and fit most guitars designed for conventional humbuckers.

Because they use vintage-style long-leg baseplates, please contact us before ordering for guitars with unusually shallow pickup routes or non-standard mounting systems.

Are they wax potted?

Olemy PAFs are supplied unpotted, following traditional PAF construction. This retains their open response and sensitivity.

Very high gain, extreme stage volume or standing close to the amplifier can increase the chance of microphonic feedback.

Which wiring should I choose?

Vintage braided:
Traditional single-conductor braided cable for standard humbucker wiring.

4 conductor:
Allows coil splitting, phase switching and series/parallel wiring.

When will my order ship?

The current estimated ship-by date is shown beside the Add to Basket button. Each pickup is built, measured and checked before dispatch.
