The Late-’50s PAF With More Edge

More presence. Stronger attack.

Focused, expressive and dynamically responsive.

Why the ’60?

Why the ’60?

The most focused and driven point in the Olemy range.

Notes remain clear and defined, with a stronger sense of attack and presence. Chords stay separated and articulate, while single notes have a firmer edge and tighter low end.

The coils follow late-’50s Leesona winding behaviour with a controlled coil offset between the two bobbins. This creates the slight imbalance seen in many original PAFs, increasing harmonic complexity and dynamic response.

An Alnico 5 magnet provides a stronger magnetic field than earlier PAF examples, producing a tighter bass response and more immediate attack while maintaining clarity across the strings.

The result is a late-’50s voice with greater focus and presence, while retaining the openness and articulation that define great PAFs.

Roll the volume back and it cleans up smoothly. Increase your attack and it responds with added bite and definition.

If you prefer the more focused and assertive side of a late-’50s PAF, this is that voice.
